Our Values
Our name, Selah, comes directly from the Old Testament (most often in the book of Psalms) and is typically believed to have two meanings. The first is to take a purposeful pause, which is exactly what we advise our clients to do. As you begin your retirement planning process, we want to encourage you to take a pause from the busyness of life and be purposeful about what you want out of your future. The second meaning is forever or everlasting praise. We believe that money is not ultimate, but a tool and a gift entrusted to us by the Lord, and it can be used for our good or for our destruction. While we believe we’re called to “hold loosely” to our money and possessions, we also believe the Lord commands us to be good stewards of all he’s given, and our money is no exception. We want to help you honor the Lord, His kingdom, and your family with the resources entrusted to you. Our mission is to provide wise counsel and sound guidance so our finances can be wielded mightily for the good and glory of God.
